CollectionView et al do not appear to project changes to contents back through binding
Reported by Christopher Swasey (endash) | November 20th, 2008 @ 01:47 PM
A CollectionView, with canReorderContent set to true, does not seem to maintain the state of its content property across its binding. Presumably, this is because a separate observer is added by the content observer on the collection view to obesrve the [] property, but that separate observer does nothing to trigger the observers on the full content property.
EDIT: I've yet to really drill down on this problem. This ticket should, as such, reflect an issue of concern, but not necessarily a definitive bug .

Creating a bug report
When creating a bug report, be sure to include as much relevant information as possible. Post the code sample that causes the problem. Preferably, alter the unit tests and show through either changed or added tests how the expected behavior is not occuring.
Submitting Patches
Resist adding new tags, use the ones in the tag cloud already. If you are submitting a patch or a pull request from a fork, tag the ticket as a "patch". If you are submitting a new feature enhancement, tag it as "enhancement". If you are submitting a fix for a bug, tag it as "fix".
